Video: A reporter's journey back from the Ebola outbreak

I was one of the first passengers to return to the United States after new Ebola screening protocols were introduced during the 2026 outbreak in Central and East Africa. During my nearly 30-hour journey home, I reported on a new policy requiring all travelers who had been in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan or Uganda within the previous 21 days to enter through Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia for medical screening.
